Description
Excerpt: I am pleased to submit the Region 2 Strategic Plan for 2004-2008. This Regional Plan provides environmental priorities and strategies that we will use to meet the goals and objectives of the Agency Strategic Plan. The successful implementation of environmental protection programs in the Region has always involved a strong partnership with our States, Territories and Indian Nations. During the development of the Regional Plan we coordinated with the Environmental Commissioners of New York and New Jersey, and representatives from the environmental agencies of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Indian Nations, to discuss the planning process and request input on their respective environmental priorities. As we move forward with the implementation of this plan, we will continue to work closely with our partners, build on our existing collaborative efforts, and communicate our progress as effectively as possible to the people whom we serve.
